Shield Fire & Security Helps With Churchill School World of Work Workshop

Scott Cole from Shield Fire & Security had the pleasure of accepting an invite from Kier Group‘s Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator, Emma Higgs, to present to the pupils at Churchill Academy & Sixth Form in Winscombe on the subject of careers in construction.

Emma and Scott had a great time engaging with Year 10 pupils who had an interest in forging a career in construction once they had finished their studies.

Scott commented, “We really appreciate the opportunity of supporting Kier Group at this social value event, and it was really motivating to speak with so many pupils and explain how a role in construction can help them succeed in their first steps in the working world.”

Since our inception, Shield Services Group has always supported good causes and those in need of assistance.  Helping the disadvantaged is a core part of our values and reflects the family way in which we operate.  Since 2021 we have been measuring all of our Social Value activities to demonstrate the positive impact that we have across our various office and project locations.
