Anthony Houghton will represent Shield Services Group on the NASC Current Affairs Committee

Shield Services Group is delighted to announce that our Health & Safety Advisor, Anthony Houghton, has accepted an invitation to join the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Current Affairs Committee.

This committee is an action-oriented, rapid-response group addressing the key issues that impact the industry as a whole and NASC members in particular.

When asked for a comment about this exciting news, Anthony Houghton stated,

“I’m honoured to be joining the NASC Current Affairs Committee and to be part of such a crucial industry group. I’ll be looking to use my knowledge and the support of my colleagues at Shield, to provide the NASC with the unique perspectives of a specialist contractor in multiple industries. The NASC is an organisation with a proven track record of driving safety and quality standards in the Scaffolding industry, and I’m excited to be a small part of developing the NASC’s progress from within the organisation. It’s a great opportunity for Shield to be represented at such a high-profile national trade body. Being able to work alongside people and businesses that are leading the Scaffolding industry is a credit to the progress of Shield Scaffolding under Jamie Angell and the whole Scaffolding team”.

Henry Annafi from the NASC, commented,

“We are delighted that Shield Services Group has accepted the offer to join the Current Affairs Committee, and we’re particularly pleased that Anthony will be their representative. Shield’s proactive and innovative ethos, alongside its constant drive to create improvements within the sector, will undoubtedly be a significant benefit to the committee, the NASC and the industry at large. Having Anthony join us will also inject some youthful dynamism into the committee, and we’re excited at the possibilities that this creates for the entire NASC membership.”

Everyone at Shield wishes Anthony and all at the NASC the very best and are excited to see the impact that he will have.
