Shield Services Group is Sponsoring Local Charity Warmley Wheelers

We are delighted to be supporting Warmley Wheelers and the great work which they do in the community
Shield was one of three local companies that supported the pilot scheme between Warmley Wheelers and Warmley Park Special Education School. The Scheme, which provided a more accessible service by taking the bikes over to the school, has evolved into a regular Wednesday morning programme. With two dedicated volunteers taking three bikes over to the school, more children will enjoy the sense of movement and freedom that cycling provides.
Luke House, Chairman of Shield, commented, “We are delighted to extend our support of both Warmley Wheelers and the School. By agreeing to support via annual sponsorship, Shield can provide three very specialist bikes; two Horizontal Tandems and a Wheel Chair bike”. They will soon be seen, complete with the sponsorship boards, travelling the Bristol to Bath Railway Path or on-site at Warmley Wheelers.
Andy Underdown, the Project Coordinator, said, “We are so pleased that this pilot scheme evolved into something so successful, so a big thank you to the three local companies, including Shield, who supported the initial idea. Also, to Cliff and Rebecca, our two volunteers who are key to the success of the project. I would also like to thank Shield for their continued support of our work. If other local companies would like to support Warmley Wheelers, which provides cycling opportunities for people with health conditions and supported needs, then please get in contact.”
