Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Office Manager to oversee the administration of our Southampton Asbestos branch . The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing administrative tasks related to asbestos management. This is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave. We would like you to start as soon as possible.
Duties
- To deal with the daily management of administrative staff, staff welfare and to act as line manager to administrative staff within the Branch.
- Arranging travel, meetings and appointments as required by Branch Staff.
- Ordering stationery and equipment.
- Supervising and monitoring the work of Branch Admin staff.
- Reporting to Branch management on a regular basis, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Arranging training for Administration staff, and new employee’s, including Induction.
- Securing security passes for Shield employees from the MOD.
- Arranging Waste skips for contracted works and recording all waste movements.
- Raising invoices and orders as and when required.
- Assisting Branch Manager & Contracts Manager as and when required.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience in a previous managerial role.
- WAMITAB qualification admirable to assist with the waste transfer station.
- Display good communication as well as people management skills.
- Be able to use and understand the Microsoft System.
- Business Admin NVQ preferable.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
