As one of the UK’s largest specialist asbestos and thermal insulation contractors, we offer a comprehensive service. We ensure that everything we do is in-line with current legislation – including protecting the privacy of our clients and website users.

Shield Environmental Holdings Ltd (SEH) incorporating Shield Environmental Services Ltd, Shield Mechanical, Electrical & Facilities Services Ltd, Shield Fire & Security Ltd, and Shield Demolition Ltd (‘SEH’, ‘our’, ‘us’ or ‘we’), as a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we must ask you to provide us with information about yourself. By consenting to, and agreeing to the terms of, this Privacy Notice, you expressly consent and agree to us processing your data in the manner set out within this Privacy Notice. This Privacy Notice describes the information we collect and how we use that information. SEH places great importance on the processing of clients’ personal information and will only use your information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect from customers and suppliers
We process personal information on our customers to enable us to fulfil our contractual obligations to them, to promote our goods and services and to maintain our accounts.

This may include:

Personal details – your name, job title, email address, telephone number and your address
Financial details
Goods or services provided
Cookies – information from your device such as device modal, location and IP address can be collected. (See our cookie policy for more information).

We may contact you about our products and services providing that you have signed up to our online sign-up form. If you have opted into these marketing communications you will be able to unsubscribe at any time by emailing marketing@shieldservicesgroup.com or clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the marketing email received.

Information we share

We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with third parties for example specialist contractors and contracted processors.

We do not transfer personal data internationally.

We do not use personal data for automated decision making or profiling.

Legal Basis

When we have a live contract with a client we process client data according to the legal basis “contract”.

When the contract is complete the data processing is a “legitimate interest”.

Marketing requires “Consent” as its legal basis.

Retention of Data

We will store financial and project information for 6 years.
