Warrington Asbestos Branch Wins October Award

Asbestos Enclosure at Royal Liverpool University Hospital Demonstrates Best Practice

Shield Asbestos Services‘ team in Warrington has been awarded the ‘Asbestos Enclosure Of The Month Award’, for the excellent work that they have carried out at the Royal University Hospital in Liverpool.  The project which started in September 2023 is due to be finished at the end of January 2024, where a team of eleven asbestos professionals are carrying out asbestos works on behalf of DSM Demolition, in challenging conditions.

Dean Humphreys, Technical Director at Shield Asbestos Services, commented, “This month’s winner is from our works at the RUH Liverpool. This is a large-scale demolition project which, like many sites of this nature, is challenging due to the types of operations being carried out on site. This project was chosen due to the site team’s efforts in building robust enclosures and managing their work areas with other trades on site.”

Paul Lillis, Shield Asbestos Service, Managing Director, reflected, “This is a really great piece of work and I would like to mention Darren Skiffington, Dean Karim, Audie Day and Dan Large, for working to such a high standard.

The Enclosure of the Month award originated from the idea of providing our site teams with a platform to demonstrate their workmanship across different locations. The aim is to encourage best practice and raise standards.
