Warrington Asbestos Branch Wins January Award
Further Success For Warrington With Asbestos Enclosure Award For Works At Hospital
Shield Asbestos Services‘ team in Warrington has once again been awarded the ‘Asbestos Enclosure Of The Month Award’, for the second time in recent months.
The team, led by Darren Skiffington and Audie Day, constructed the enclosure at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital, on behalf of our client DSM Demolition. The project required the removal of AIB expansion joints and thermal insulation residues to walls and pipework.
Dean Humphreys, Technical Director at Shield Asbestos Services, commented, “This month’s winner is again from our works at the RUH Liverpool. This is a large-scale demolition project which, like many sites of this nature, is challenging due to the types of operations being carried out. This project was chosen due to the site team’s efforts in building robust enclosures and managing their work areas with other trades on site.”
Paul Lillis, Shield Asbestos Service, Managing Director, reflected, “It’s great to see the consistency of quality being achieved from our Warrington team and across all of our branches. The Enclosure of the Month Award is driving some healthy competition.“
The Enclosure of the Month award originated from the idea of providing our site teams with a platform to demonstrate their workmanship across different locations. The aim is to encourage best practice and raise standards.
