Shield Services Support Renovations at The Greig Hall

Shield’s Birmingham branch provides support to bring a vital local community venue back to life

When the call went out from Orbit Group to help assist worthy local community projects, the team at Shield’s Birmingham branch were only too happy to offer their support at the Greig Hall Community centre in Alcester. The centre, which provides a venue for infants, children, young adults, adults and pensioners alike to meet and use the facility for their individual or group needs, was in need of urgent work to renovate and improve its condition.

In writing to Birmingham Branch Manager, Richard Begley, Alcester Town Councillor, Mike Bowe, commented, “I want to extend the gratitude felt by Alcester Town Council for the wonderful contribution made to the refurbishment of the Greig Hall by members of the Shield Services Group team, namely Wayne McHugh and Joe Buckmaster. Both these men showed enthusiasm and total commitment to the tasks undertaken and are a credit to, and wonderful ambassadors for, the company.

Richard it would be remiss of me not to mention the exceptional contribution you have personally made. Your calmness and understanding of the Greig Hall Project made the work undertaken a complete success.  A big thank you from me, it has been my pleasure to meet you all.”
