Shield Marine have installed new galley floor insulation on the Christian Radich Sailing Ship.
Marine Division Director, Dave Pearce, originally visited the ship in Stavanger, Norway, following which we successful entered a competitive tender process.
The galley works along with smaller minor works were carried out in May 2014. The work had to be completed on a very tight schedule as the ship needed to be ready for “Norway Day” in Oslo. Due to the tight deadline Shield Marine undertook the works in Oslo so that the ship, which is referred to as the “Pride of Norway”, was ready for the event and could also visit other countries on world tours, representing Norway in the Tall Ships Association.
