Shield Colleagues Receive Green Card Commendations From ISG

We are proud to announce that two of our Shield colleagues have received Green Card commendations from ISG

Steve Smith and Billy-Jay Long have both been acknowledged, by main contractor ISG, for constantly demonstrating high standards of health and safety and promoting environmental awareness and best practices.

Liam Male, Shield’s Asbestos Division Project Manager, stated, “It’s great to receive praise for both Steve and Billy-Jay’s efforts, as this was a challenging project at HMP Guys Marsh. They are both dedicated colleagues who always give their all.”

Presenting them with their awards, Paul Lillis, MD of the Shield Asbestos Division, commented, “I am very proud to be able to acknowledge the guys’ work, as this is what we have come to expect from them both. But to have received acknowledgement from ISG makes it that extra bit special, as it is so motivational.”

Upon issuing the Green Cards ISG reflected that “The type of work carried out is generally a messy operation and not easy. But Steve and Billy-Jay have just got on with the task at hand, and everyone onsite has noticed how well this has been carried out, with no issues or dramas to the other trades. Well done to them both.”

Well done from everyone at Shield.
