Shield Asbestos strengthens team with key appointments
Internal promotions demonstrate strength at the heart of our business
The Shield Asbestos Services division has strengthened its operation with the promotion of Dean Humphreys (far left) to the role of Technical Director, with Liam Male (immediate left) stepping up and into the position of Bristol branch manager, vacated by Dean.
Paul Lillis, Managing Director of Shield Asbestos Services, commented, “The creation of the new Technical Director role demonstrates the importance of the Asbestos division to Shield Services Group. The position will bring additional focus to the technical application of our service and enhance our capabilities and level of performance, and Dean was the clear choice for the role. With Dean moving on, we needed to ensure the continuity of service for our Bristol branch and Liam was the right candidate. I wish both of the guys the very best of luck in their new roles.”
Dean Humphreys has been with Shield since 2011 and has gained considerable experience across our frameworks office, key accounts and most recently as the Bristol Branch Manager. When asked about his views on the new role, Dean revealed, “It’s a real delight to have had my efforts acknowledged across our business, and have with the opportunity to step up into the new Technical Director position. I can’t wait to get started on driving the evolution of the division and tackling the challenges that lay ahead. I know that Liam will be able to step into the role of Branch Manager and provide a seamless level of service to our customers.”
Liam Male, who has been with Shield for nearly 10 years, will be stepping up from his position of Senior Contracts Manager within the Asbestos Division, to lead our Bristol Branch, and had this to say, “I am extremely excited about taking the reins in my new role! I am taking the branch over in a great place, and am looking forward to the challenges ahead, and continuing to steer the Bristol Asbestos ship forward. We have a great team of operatives, supervisors and office staff, and receive great support from the senior management at our Bristol Head Office. I can’t wait to be involved in the exciting upcoming projects, so stay tuned for more great things from Shield’s Bristol Asbestos Branch!”
