Shield Asbestos Services Truro Wins Safety, Health and Environment Award

Kier Construction Acknowledges Truro Branch For High Standards

Before Christmas, Shield Asbestos Operative, Nathan Hick was recognised by Kier Construction for his high standard of work at the Treviglas Academy site in Newquay, Cornwall.  Shield is active on site carrying out asbestos removal and soft strip operations, and this is the second time that the team has received recognition following that given to supervisor, Stuart Hercus, earlier in 2023.

In his acknowledgement of Nathan, Chris Chrums commented, “Kier is pleased to recognise the positive contribution to collaborative working with our Safety, Health & Environment Management System requirements, including our Just and fair Culture Standard, by operative Nathan Hick.  We thank you sincerely for raising and promoting SHE awareness within Shield.

Upon receipt of the written acknowledgement, Rob Miotla, Shield Asbestos Services Operations Director, commented, “l am delighted for Nathan and all of the team working at Treviglas Academy, as they are working to the highest standards, as you would expect from any of our Shield teams.  Kier Construction is a great main contractor to be able to partner with as their culture always acknowledges high standards.
