Shield Environmental Services have been appointed as one of the specialist asbestos contractors for the London Housing Consortium’s (LHC) asbestos works and services framework (AS1) in the London region.
The framework was developed with the London Construction Programme and 12 asbestos contractors have been appointed across 3 different workstreams; Shield being appointed to Workstream 3: Asbestos Removal Works.
LHC is a non-for-profit purchasing consortium for the refurbishment and maintenance of schools, housing, community buildings and public sector buildings in England, Wales and Scotland. As the LHC is non-profit they strive to achieve best value procurement for industry sectors that will most likely benefit, such as local communities.
