1.85 million Safe Man hours

Our team at Larkhill, together with other trade contractors on site, have just achieved the combined fantastic milestone of 1.85 million safe man-hours!

To celebrate this, Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) held a free raffle for all site workers as a way of saying Thank You for their personal commitments to the safety of not only themselves, but also to those they work with.

ADCW MD, Paul Dempster drew the raffle last Friday and Shield employee Anton Attard, was one of the lucky winners of a £200 Halfords voucher.

Both ACDW and Shield are committed to the KBR Aspire defence Zero Harm 24/7 – Courage to care initiative. This process has been implemented for everyone working on a KBR Aspire defence site and is one where individuals and teams take ownership for safety and the responsibility to look after themselves and others. Everyone is actively encouraged not to accept low standards and risk taking and to use “Courage to Care”, to intervene and to take both positive and negative feedback on board.

“For all of us, the last few months have been difficult and hugely challenging, but everyone has embraced the new ways of working and we are extremely proud of how everyone has responded in a professional and diligent way so that we all remain safe.”
