The Shield Asbestos Removal Southampton branch was contracted by Veolia, to undertake asbestos removal at Eastbourne Hospital in East Sussex. These removal works were necessary to facilitate planned refurbishment works to the windows within the hospital.

Eastbourne District General Hospital has an emergency department and hosts a range of services, including acute assessment, elderly care, neonatal intensive care, ophthalmology and ENT. The hospital has many specialist and critical care services, so it was vital that it remained fully operational during these works.
