Planting Up A brighter Future At Creunant Primary School

Shield Asbestos Services’ Cardiff Branch Donates Hand-made Planters To Local School

Shield’s Mark Davies has constructed two wooden planters that have been donated to the pupils at Creunant Primary School in Neath.

Shield’s Cardiff Branch Manager, Barry Lewis and Contracts Manager, Shaun Morgan presented the planters to Headteacher, Melanie Teague and Deborah Lewis, along with plants, compost and wood stain, to allow the pupils to get started with their planting activities.

Reflecting on the branch’s support of Creunant Primary School, Barry Lewis, commented, “We have lots of skills within the team, which sometimes we take for granted, but are extremely valuable to a community group or school. Mark spent six hours building and staining the planters, but the hours of enjoyment that they will have for the school is immeasurable.  We love to help groups in this way.”

Melanie Teague, Headteacher at Creunant Primary School, commented, “A huge thank you to Barry Lewis from Shield who has donated two beautiful planters for our junior yard.”
