The removal process will vary according to the material type. Generally the work area is segregated with polythene sheeting to create an enclosed space to prevent exposure to others. The asbestos contains material is then wetted with a water mix surfactant, carefully removed by trained operatives, sealed into UN approved bags and waste stored either within an on-site skip or specially fitted van compartments. The work area is then cleaned down with H-type vacuums and hand tools. If the works are licenced then the enclosure will need to be inspected and signed off by an independent analyst.
