Last Friday evening saw our Birmingham branch play in a charity football match with Warwick District Council.
Our Birmingham branch wanted to show their support for those affected by a rare condition of epilepsy, so got involved with Warwick District Council’s arrangements, and have helped to raise funds that will go towards the charity, The Daisy Garland.
It was a good evening, starting at 7.30pm at a nearby school’s football ground. There was a great turnout from Shield and Warwick District Council with around 35 people in attendance; friends and family making the atmosphere welcoming and supportive.
The two teams mixed Shield and Warwick District Council employees together and the match ended up in a 3-3 draw. The Birmingham branch were particularly proud of Charlotte Turner’s great performance during the match.
The event has raised £340.00 so far, if you wish to show your support please donate at this Just Giving page.
