Cornish Colleagues Revitalise Maternity Garden

Royal Cornwall Hospitals Maternity Garden Receives TLC From Shield

A team of willing helpers from our Truro branch and Falmouth office has helped the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity Trust by painting benches and planters and tidying the maternity garden at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

Ashley Edwards and Michelle Sambells from our Shield Insulation Services division, alongside Rebecca Rogers from Shield Marine Services and Kevin Harry and Connor Honeychurch from Shield Asbestos Services, joined with Nirm Kaur to help out a very worthwhile cause within the Cornish community that means so much to us at Shield Services Group.

Nirm Kaur, “It was a great day with a fantastic team effort resulting in the creation of a reinvigorated garden environment for parents, babies and staff to experience.  We met some wonderful across the day and the whole team hopes that the garden can be of benefit for years to come.”

Since our inception, Shield Services Group has always supported good causes and those in need of assistance.  Helping the disadvantaged is a core part of our values and reflects the family way in which we operate.  Since 2021 we have been measuring all of our Social Value activities to demonstrate the positive impact that we have across our various office and project locations.
