Shield Mechanical, Electrical & Facilities Services Delivers Turnkey Projects For University
The University of Bristol is benefitting from a key relationship with Shield’s Mechanical, Electrical & Facilities Services division, via the delivery of various turnkey projects, where Shield is operating as the Principal Contractor.
The project includes mechanical, electrical and building fabric works in key areas of the university’s estate, with a particular focus on the refurbishment of science laboratories, and a large roof replacement.
The works, which total circa £350k, also incorporate fire stopping, fire alarms and fire doors, being delivered by the specialists from Shield’s Fire & Security division.
Craig Coombes, Director of Shield’s Facilities Services division, commented, “It is always a fantastic opportunity to work with a significant client such as the University of Bristol, but it means, even more, when the work impacts your local community. This project is a great example of how Shield Services Group performs as the principal contractor for a client, with the full array of specialisms that we have at our disposal. This is further evidence of how we continue to grow our service proposition and customer base off the back of successful project delivery, something which is particularly pleasing for all of our team and for me personally.”
