Sponsoring Shine Bright demonstrates our commitment to our communities across our locations

Shield is delighted to be the headline sponsor for the Cardiff and Vale Health Charity Shine Bright Appeal 2021, with all money raised helping to provide more equipment, research, treatment and patient care, so that the Health Charity can support work and projects over and above what normal NHS funding usually provides.

Luke House, Chairman of Shield Services Group, commented, “We are so happy to become a supporter of the Shine Bright Appeal and help to strengthen the beacon of light that focuses on patients, visitors, staff and the local community.  The past 18-months have been really tough, and we hope that our support can make a difference”.

All sponsors will see their star shine bright at the University Hospital of Wales from the start of December 2021 until January 2022. The stars will be placed in a prominent position at the University Hospital of Wales, creating a magical haven for everyone to see, and the Shield star will be at the top of the tree!

Barry Lewis, Shield’s Cardiff Branch Manager, reflected that “We have had a great relationship with Owen Davies, Estates Health, Safety and Asbestos Support Officer, Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, who for over 20 years has been managing all of the asbestos works for the Health Board.  It feels right to provide additional support for the Shine Bright Appeal”.
