Scaffolding
Shield are full members of National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC).
We offer a full project management service along with installation of both simple and complex scaffold structures for a variety of projects. Our scaffolding can be tailored to suit your requirements and can be delivered at short notice.
Multi-purpose, safe and strong structures
Scaffolding facilitates other works to take place and therefore needs to be fit for purpose and durable, lasting for the extent of each project. Our scaffolding works are entirely safety complaint and are carried out in line with Shields’ own Safety First Initiative. Safety is our priority and we have processes in place to ensure this. We carry out frequent and random inspections and audits which are recorded.
We hold a license to undertake licensed asbestos-scaffolding and our operatives are able to erect the structures required for the safe removal of licensed asbestos. Our scaffolding has also been adapted to the marine industry and our equipment and strategies have been modified to meet the challenges of confined spaces on board vessels. This means our team are equipped to build structures while vessels are in dock or on tour.
Our in-house scaffolding team consists of trained Advanced Scaffolders holding parts 1 and 2 and contracts managers with considerable experience within a wide range of sectors. We also sub-contract to scaffold designers and suppliers that are trusted and long-term partners.
